Established in 2012, the Baker Award is named after former Constantine boys Track coach, Tim Baker. Tim helped to create and establish this meet in 1985. Tim coached track and filed at Constantine for 30 years.
The Baker Award is a Most Valuable Performer award in the meet for both a female and male athlete. T​he award is given to the athlete who would have scored the most points in the meet, if we were keeping score, using the scoring system of 10 for first place, 8 for second, 6 for third, 4 for fourth, 2 for fifth, and one for sixth. Points for relays are divided by four.
